The Body Shop has been a firm high street favourite of mine for as long as I can remember. I even remember my first product, a peach bubble bath which I received when I was around 12 and remember feeling so grown up. Fast forward a
I have seen a lot of hype about their make-up products, and their honeycombe bronzer has received a lot of raving reviews and has been on my "to get" list for a while now. So when I was sent a shimmer cube and a brush to try out, I was more than happy to road test their products.
I received The Shimmer Cube Palette in purple, while this is not a colour I would usually opt for, I am surprised at how wearable these shades are. If you're looking for a bit of sparkle and something different, these will be right up your street. These purpley tones provide a beautiful metalic sheen on the lids that sparkle in the light. Upon first glance, they really reminded me of Barry M Dazzle Dusts which I used to be an avid collector of in my younger days, however these are in pressed form so no mess!
If purple isn't your thing, then fear not as these cubes are available in a whole multitude of colours. You could even collect them all to create your own palette, as you can remove the cubes and swap them round to suit your tastes.
I was really impressed at just how pigmented these shimmer cubes are, they really pack a punch.
I was also sent an eyeshadow brush to try in conjunction with the shimmer cubes. As a beloved Real Techniques fan I wasn't sure how the brush would compare. Fear not, it is the perfect tool to apply these with as it really allows for precise application and allows you to control how much colour you pack on.
Both of these get a massive thumbs up from me! After my first flirt with Body Shop make-up, I'm excited to pursue their cosmetics section next time I'm in a store.
